PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING
In 2011/12 the Government launched its Pupil Premium funding initiative. This money is sent to schools based on the numbers of children who are either eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), are Looked After Children (LAC) or who have a parent who works in the armed forces. From 2012/13 it has been expanded to include all children who are eligible for Free School Meals within the last 6 years.
The Pupil Premium Funding that is received by the school annually is used in a variety of ways in order to improve pupil attainment and to help overcome any barriers to learning. The funding is allocated to Webheath Academy Primary School for children:-
* Who have been in receipt of free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years
* Who have been continuously looked after (LAC) for the past 6 months
*Who are adopted from Care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 or who have left care under a Special Guardianship or Residence Order
* Whose parent is currently serving in the armed forces or whose parent/guardian is in receipt of a pension from the MoD
