Children have a right to be cared for and protected, protecting them is everyone’s responsibility. Here at Webheath Academy Primary School we have a duty of care to ensure that all users of the school are kept safe from harm. We are committed to provide a secure and supportive environment in which children can develop and grow into mature and responsible people. Safeguarding children is an essential part of our holistic approach to ensure that children are protected from abuse and neglect and that every child reaches their full potential.
The best interests of the children will always be our priority. As such, there are times we will need to record, monitor and share information with other agencies. We will share concerns about our pupils with the child’s parents/carers unless we have reason to believe that such a move would not be in the child’s best interest.
Mrs Burton

My degree is in Art and History and I have been teaching for over twenty years. I specialised in Special Education Needs and have a Masters in working with any age group with specific learning difficulties and have qualifications for both Dyslexia and Dyscalculia teaching support. I am married with three children and a very mad dog who keeps me very busy.
Mrs Heffernan
Deputy Head
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
I began teaching in 2003 and have enjoyed lots of different challenges throughout my time at Webheath. I enjoy teaching all subjects but English and P.E. are my specialisms. I love working at Webheath and supporting all children to be the very best that they can be, regardless of their starting point. Outside of school, I enjoy playing netball and going for a run, although I think my marathon days are behind me!
Miss Clifton
Assistant Head
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
My passion for education has taken me around the world, teaching in South Africa and India. Now 8 years into my career, I love how teaching allows me to contribute towards each child's journey. Outside of school, I am usually found training in the gym, walking my dog or travelling.
Mrs Woodward
Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
I am the SENCo in school, and enjoy working with children in all of the different year groups. I especially enjoy teaching PE, because I like to be active and before and after school you can often see me running around the parks in Redditch. I am also enjoying teaching the children in Year 1- learning, creating and growing together with them.
